11.Shes.Obsessed

Kinsley is absolutely obsessed with her soft toys and how they feel against her face and it is freakin adorable! She grabs her jelly cat bunnies or Puppa blankey toy and smooshes them into her face and even sucks them with her new found friend of saliva haha! Sometimes if she drops one she will grizzle until you give it back or it instantly calms her when shes unsettled and grizzly, seeing her little eyes close and her make nuzzling noises (like she did on the boob) melts my heart 🐶❤ She can feel how soft they are against her cheeks and it must soothe her, I tested it with a scratchy blanket and she didnt like it 😂 #meanmom

We FINALLY had our first Plunket visit up at the clinic which was actually really good! Nana was up for the week and it was a lovely day so we walked up in the sun (also helps me get fit again haha and loose my floppy tummy 😅). We had a lovely nurse and Kinsley is doing super well. She had gained enough weight (now weighs 5.55kg), and he head is big hahha #shegotitfromhermama (and poppa ha!) and had all the right chub in all the right places. For growth they look for 3 key things - rolls on their thighs, head growth and a nice round tummy (in our case check, check, check yay!) I was a little bit worried because she hadn't been weighed in over a month! I should have just looked at her chubby as cheeks and known she was fine haha! Kinsley decided to show off at Plunket and did a poonami that leaked out her rompa and a wee when in the weigh bath so we spent half the appointment cleaning her up haha #mumlife

We had our first official coffee group catch up and Livvy hosted and set the bar super high, we arrived at her place to freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit, coffee and sparkling water! Her mama is super adorable and baked it all for us and didnt even stay. We had the best morning hanging with all the mamas and babies, sharing our crazy stories and sitting in a room where you feel normal because you are all as crazy and sleep deprived as one another 😂 The highlight was making a baby line up, oldest to youngest and then taking a picture = SQUAD GOALS 🙌🏻 Craziest part we were all prepared for half of them to be screaming but funny thing was they were all calm as 😂 some even staying asleep, maybe the key is babies calm babies haha. Shit next time we will put them there at the start ha!

Kinsley had Poppa to herself for a couple of days as nana was helping aunty at her first wedding fair (we are so proud of her!) And we loved it! She got lots of playtime and poppa even rocked her to sleep so she was super spoilt hehe. Her favourite thing is when under her play gym and poppa puts his head over the top like peek a boo, she grins from ear to ear and even giggles 😍 We also had a lovely family dinner on Sunday night to celebrate nanas birthday, it was Baby K's first Asian fusion dining experience and she loved it (milk at the table hahaha and watching the ceiling fan go round and round 😂). But so nice spending time with the family and eating yummy food after a big week all round ❤.

Kinsleys big blue eyes are still getting lighter, her skin is so soft that I'm jealous and her hair is still lightly malting and the little spikes growing are super blonde. Shes such a happy vigarous baby and we are loving hanging at home together!

My favourite times are bath time watching the joy on her face (this week we graduated from the bloom to our big girls bath) and morning cuddles with storytime once we wake 🦄 When her Dada walks in the door from work she smiles even at the sound of his voice then afternoon cuddles are with him, it melts my heart 😍

I cant believe shes nearly 3 months old eeeek!

Tips for the week:

- If your super organized like me and also like cute ideas then you'll love this one! I have secured Kinsleys email address for when shes older so the username doesnt get taken (you never know) and until that time I am going to hold onto it and write her letters at every milestone or celebration starting with Valentines Day this year. Then one day she can read them all for an insight into life with our baby girl 🙌🏻 #cuteright #thankmelater

- Research formula just incase you end up needing it then you will know what one to buy (or even have a tin in the bottom of the pantry incase, worst case you dont use it right!?) because otherwise you will pop out urgently to buy one with little knowledge and its not simple to switch them over if then it wasnt what you wanted. Little ones digestive systems take while to get used to them so it's a slow transition, we are doing so at the moment to see if it is any easier on her bowels.

- Dont freak out if your bebe sleeps more than usual on hot summers days, it's simply that the heat makes them nap more just make sure you are still keeping their feeding up so they stay hydrated then all is well 🙌🏻

- This passage I came across on Facebook should be given to all new mamas to help with those first few weeks because they are tough but this just reminds you, you are you babies whole world for so long and it takes time for that to widen (read with tissues as it gives you all the feels) https://m.facebook.com/DoctorMommyMD/photos/a.273951299680353/487331331675681/?type=3
