15.Happy.Valentines

This week kicked off with Valentines day, our first one having two valentines thanks to our littlest love ❤ This meant I wrote our first email to Kinsleys address which is the start of many more to come. It also of course meant we had a valentines photo for Daddys Card and to send to Poppa who was home alone this year (Nana was in Australia with aunty shopping for her wedding dress!!). As we were taking the photos I was beside myself with mama love she looked so friggin ADORABLE and I was so excited for baby daddy to see them (he of course loved them). Kinsley was of course spoilt like usual (our family always celebrate and our mumma and daddy have always given us a gift hehe) she got a beautiful Georgie Rose heart pillow for her cot from aunty and a new burrow and Be wrap and a beautiful peter rabbit book about love from nana and poppa⚘

Nic surprised me with a beautiful card and baby free Bush walk and picnic out on the beach and had prepared it all and even organized Kinsley to go to Omas 😍 We had the best evening just reflecting on how far we have come and how we love our little life, betime we picked Kinsley up we of course missed her and couldnt wait to get in the door ha!

The highlight would have to be that Nic helped Kinsley write me a valentines card and it was beautiful, so much thought went into it! (That combined with my surprise deff had me feeling emosh af 😍😭 I'm so lucky)

Kinsley is getting more and more active every day and it's so much fun playing with her and seeing the excitement in her face when you play games or come to play with her! Shes grabbing her feet now, starting to love tummy time and uses her hands 90% properly ALL the time, loves grabbing her hanging toys and still eats everything ha! Nana brought her these awesome little Lamaze wrist rattles and socks for playtime and she loves trying to grab and twist to get them - great idea to helpthemt familiarize themselves with their own hands and feet! She has also started to kick and splash in her bath (safe to say its shallower now haha) and LOVES hanging out in there, I have to get her out when her skin starts to go pruney ha!

Another new thing this week is every morning when she wakes she has a big chat to her bunny and then gets louder when shes ready to get up or for us to pop our head over her bassinet to unleash the smiles 😍 its so cute and me and nic wake and just laugh, bloody adorable (even when sometimes she thinks 2am is bunny chat time 😅).

Our plunket visits are still all over the place but roughly monthly now, this time she had grown a heap so getting her new stats is always exciting (or I am weird lol). She is now 60cm long, her head is 41cm and she weighs 6.35kg so nice and healthy yay! They said she is very close to rolling and it could be any day now and were impressed with how much and well she uses her little hands 👐🏻 They also offer a consult with a baby dietitian (or something similar ha) that at around 4 months chats to you about introducing solids and the signs etc so that's exciting (but also scary as she will be 6 months and eating next time I bloody blink!).

Kinsley got to spend a beautiful day with her little nana (great nana) on the weekend while mummy and daddy went to aunty caity & uncle haydns hens and stags party. She went walking had lots of plays and cuddles and mama was home for bedtime (daddy for the night feed but mama laughed at him and told his drunk ass to keep sleeping hahaha! Bless he tried, he was loving the hungover day sleeps the following day which melted my heart ). Its so cool that Kinsley gets to spend time with little nana just the two of them ❤ Shes surrounded by so much love!

Tips this week:

- Dont be afraid of transitioning from a capsule to a carseat! And if baby starts to all of a sudden hate the car it's a sign you should probably make the switch. Weve been in ours a week now and she LOVES it, we have had no tears at all and weve been in it most days 🙌🏻 Our seat is amazing thanks Oma & Opa 😘

- When you get graced with a baby free hour or two at home have a list handy on all the things you keep thinking you want to do or you will make the rookie mistake like I did and forget everything and sit at home board with no one to play with 😂 eg paint nails, wash hair, shave legs or just have a hot cuppa! I had an hour between oma taking kinsley and nic getting home from work and I was so lonely lol, then realised my nails would have looked great painted hahhaha!

- Highly reccomend SPACE group with your little ones, its once a week in a nice casual environment where you sing, play, learn and both mamas and bebes get to hang with their friends 🙌🏻 I find it so fun!

- If you have a baby girl and are ossesed with bows like me then a bow holder is a must! I got one from Cammy & Co and it looks so pretty in the nursery 🎀
