I love early morning cuddles, its 3am and me and kinsley are sitting in our feeding chair in the nursery. Its quiet, dim light and no distractions... it's so peaceful and I can hear the little up downs of each of her breathes and feel her warmth against my skin. It's a beautiful moment and I really soak it up and cherish it (even when I have had next to no sleep) because I know it wont last forever time Is already flying by ❤

This week started with 6 week immunizations, Kinsley and mama did amazing yay!! To be fair I think I would have been a wreck if we hadn't been through the whole hospital ordeal as to me this had nothing on that for the poor wee baby who was so tough - so I was super calm and calm mama is calm baby! We also had nana with us for support as being so close to xmas we couldnt get an appointment for Nic to be there. This helped heaps as when my mums with me I feel like between us nothing bad could happen to little Kinsley. She took them like a champ with a little howl as each needle went in her thighs but as soon as I started talking to her in a tight cuddle she calmed, bless ❤ then she had the oral which she didn’t mind at all then straight onto the boobie for some milk. Some people feed whilst having the jabs to comfort and distract baby but personally I didn’t want any negative associations with feeding (eg pain or fright) so used it after to consol and comfort but a total personal choice :)

Shhe was totally chilled afterwards until about 4 hours late, then BOOM the grenade went off haha! Poor bubs was so upset and unsettled for the afternoon but Pamol helped her sleep and settle down. The following days she was fine just diarrhoea as expected from the oral rotavirus vaccine (Soooo gross and required multiple sets of hands to change ha!) So thankful nana was here hehe!

Kinsley placed her first official order with Aunty Just Jess this week, personalised Christmas cookies for all her baby friends. Then hand delivered them in our final mums and bubs class before Christmas. A few of them were away so I got to eat the extras yusssss haha!

We took Kinsley into FCB (mamas work) on Friday to meet the crew,it was so crazy walking into the hustle again but without any responsibility on my shoulders. Crazy to think my job was more stressful the raising a newborn 😂 #adlife The highlight of our visit would have to have been Blair holding Kinsley, considering I had to force him to feel my bump he jumped at holding her - ADORABLE.

In the way of developments it seems like a lot is happening at the moment. Kinsley smiles SO much and now recognised when her daddy gets home or when nana & poppa arrive! Her eyes are lightening by the day and she focuses on contrasts, close objects and lights so much (super adorable when she goes cross eyed ha! #biased). She’s officially grown out of her first newborn clothes (mainly due to her length) makes me a little sad knowing she’s already growing so fast!

Tips this week: - Take a support person with you to the 6 week jabs as it keeps you calmer which in turn keeps your little one calmer. Do your best to not worry its not actual intense pain but the only way babies can say ouch is to cry as it’s a new feeling too.

- Finding ”me time” is still really important (if not more now) so make an effort to do so. This week I had my first post baby bath - bubbles, face mask, Netflix, ecoya = Bliss (Thanks baby daddy for keeping Kinsley entertained & quiet haha).

- Look at your postpartum body, take it in and reflect on the amazing things it has done to grow your little bundle. If you’re not confident then this may help you accept your new shapes, patterns or feelings and if you are it’s great to see how it’s all adaapting and healing/recovering. Either way you are beautiful and incredible don’t forget that. For me I got stretch marks in the final month and they got me down, now I love my tiger stripes and I tell my baby girl she turned mummy into a tiger to show me how strong we are as a unit 🐅🧡

- Get something special to remember your first Christmas by or a keepsake it will make your heart flutter when you receive it and no doubt in years to come when Bebe is all grown up 🎄 I got some beautiful personalised family tree decorations and I adore them! I also got Kinsley her own Santa sack hehe.
