The chats are louder, she says more words, the games are funnier, splashes bigger and she lets you know quick smart when shes hungry hahaha! Our baby girl has kicked life up a gear and its awesome! I may have to wear a raincoat at bathtime though haha! 🐳😂

Jess & Jay gave us a family photoshoot for Christmas with the amazing Honeyzest Creative and we finally went and did it. We shot out on the lovely Kimi's farm on a crisp and sunny winters morning and it couldn't have been more perfect 🙌🏻. For those that know us well it wouldn't be a surprise that Nic hates having his photo taken little own a whole shoot haha! But it was so easy we were just told to chat, walk, play with Kinsley and she snapped away. We had a few parting issues with Sophie the girraffe as I didn't want her in all the family shots but Kinsley and her teeth did haha! We have a few sneak peak images and I am IN LOVE. 😍😭 I cried when I saw them, just so amazing and such cool memories! I will deff be getting a family photo done every year!

There have been a few hard days over the last fortnight where at the end of the day Kinsley goes to bed and I just feel like sinking into the couch and crying😢. One night I literally did just that except it was once Nic walked in and gave me a hug! Kinsley had a grumpy, grizzly day (no reason she just woke up shitty, like we do sometimes) so she needed my attention 24/7 but even then was still grizzling and hours on end of it is exhusting but you can't let it get to you when shes there so it builds up! Pair that with Nic working 6 days a week and late nights (bless) and me still not being 100% health wise = I broke. Lucky for one day only haha! Nothing a cuddle, support and Love Island with takeaways couldn't fix 😋🌴

Having a couple of bad days meant the good ones were super heightened and we actually had lots of hangs with our mama and baby friends this week which was just what we both needed! 💕 Saturday was a beautiful one so Me & K went to Cornwall park with one of our baby besties Charlie & Max and had a walk, coffee, chat and play (Bliss). Charlie even showed Kisnley how to go on a big kids swing and it was so fun! 👏🏻

Later that week we had coffee group where we actually had to farewell one of the crew so it was bittersweet, we had the most lovely morning with all the babes playing and mamas chatting one of those gatherings where you look around and feel so thankful that you met every single person in that room and actually can't imagine life without them in it 🥰 We made sure to capture the day with our first official school photo (ok pre, pre, pre school photo haha) but its super cute! We made Jen & Nora a frame with all the babes holding (or eating) their names for them to take down south with them so that they can't forget our faces, that paired with the 24/7 Whats app chat it will be like we are still there haha! And lets be fair a couple more blinks and all the rugrats will be turning ONE and we will all be together for a party!

Ok is there a such thing as solids regression!? Because F*** Me in my family there is 😂 I feel like it may be because she has more teeth moving or her ones that have grown feel weird because over like a week she was refusing any more than TWO teaspoons per day (down from like 3/4 cup haha) and I was wasting food left right & center! I wasn't too worried as she was guzzling her milk (and still drinking her water of course ha!) so wasn't hungry but we were making such good progress so it was a little disheartening 😔 In the end I gave her 2 days break from offering solids at all and then when I did again she was back into it, so fingers crossed this lasts haha! Because soon we will be weaning down her milk eeeeek!

This mama and dadda had a night off on Saturday to celebrate three of our close friends 30th, so Kinsley had a sleepover at Oma & Opas. It was SO WEIRD getting ready at home together with her not around (its almost lonely or like an eery feeling and also quite quiet haha!) We had a drink and the music on and it was like we were 22 again (except we weren't hammered walking out the door hahahahah! 😂) What was even weirder was waking up at 5am, 6am, 7am (baby body clock haha) and being able to just roll over and go back to sleep! So crazy feeling like you don't have a baby! Was so nice having a night together with our friends and seeing Kinsley have such a fun time with her Oma & Opa ❤ But...I did love my Sunday night family snuggles and storytime hehe.

Kinsley got to do brunch with her fairy god mamas 🧚🏼‍♀️💜 and see her little future bestie growing in the belly! She loved it because she got ALL the attention as little Harry was with his dadda 😋! I feel so blessed that not only I have these two ladies (and their fams) in my life but my daughters too - There is something special about going through your major life milestones together and then experiencing being first time parents with people who truly love and get involved in your babies life! And I am SO EXCITED that the third #MMM baby will be joining us this year eeeeek!

Ok I think Kinsley just pooped so I'm out hahaha #mumlife

PS - Technology is EPIC we are able to video call nana and poppa every week so they can see Kinsley and she loves that she can see faces she recognises and herself (of course haha) at the same time! So cute! 😘

Tips for the week:

- Involve your bubba in your everyday activities as it fascinates them to watch you or "help". This week Kinsley has been helping prep dinner and daddas lunch with me in the afternoons. She sits in her bumbo seat on the bench (not on the edge Susan & supervised haha!) and watches me chop veges, run the tap and really loves to chew a whisk or spatula!

- Mitre10 have this amazing black foam (Brand is energy seals) adhesive that is PERFECT for baby proofing corners and edges, we have done our concrete coffee table, bench edges that are low and her mirror edges and it doesn't even look too bad!

- Kinsley loves Shimmer & Shine on Nick Jnr so much so that mama and dadda know the theme song (so cute when I hear Nic singing it in the lounge haha!) post her bath every afternoon she watches an episode while we are prepping her evening bottle, she snuggles in her Nuna with her bunny (or into her dadda) and she knows its wind down time ADORABLE!

- I think I said this in earlier days but if you haven't got one by 7/8M you need too haha! Get a mirror that you can put at bubbas height (not a fake one that distorts the reflection an actual one that's clear) because at this age they LOVE them as they start to recognise its themselves ❤ K loves to chat away to herself and has also started leaning in for cuddles and kisses to her reflection SO FREAKIN CUTE!
